Dr. Fu Kit SHEONG Receives Awards at Firebird Hackathon 2026

Dr. Fu Kit SHEONG, Lecturer of the Department of Chemistry, recently participated in Firebird Hackathon 2026, an event organized as part of HKUST's 35th Anniversary celebrations.  Together with teammate Dr. Wei WANG (PhD(CHEM) 2018 of the Department of Chemistry), their team SaiVio received the Runner-up Award in the themed challenge track and the Best Solution Award.  The competition brought together students, alumni, developers, and innovators to explore artificial intelligence applications and develop solutions for real-world challenges.
