PhD Year 3 student Mr. Zheng ZHU (Supervisor: Prof. Yangjian QUAN) received the Best Poster Award (Guest Speaker’s Choice) at the 32nd Symposium on Chemistry Postgraduate Research which was held on 9 May 2026

Prof. Xiaojiang XIE received the Distinguished Lectureship Award for work in Analytical Chemistry by the Chemical Society of Japan at the Asian International Symposium, held in March 2026.

A project "Control of Chirality and Spin in Halide Perovskites" led by Prof. Haipeng Lu was awarded HK$4.9 million under the RGC Collaborative Research Fund (CRF) 2025/26 - Young Collaborative Research Grant (YCRG) (C6011-25YF).

The Department of Chemistry successfully hosted the international conference “When Ultrafast Spectroscopy Meets AI: Challenges and Opportunities” from 5 to 7 Dec 2025, organized by Prof. Tengteng CHEN.
